Shiny things attract me, and I will admit they can even distract me. Yes, that piece of broken glass on the ground reflecting the sun can hold my attention for minutes while I am fascinated by its unusual beauty. I do not know what it is that draws me to it probably because its glitzy and reminds me of glamour. Apparently I am not the only one who loves all things shiny because more and more I am seeing rhinestones and sequins when I shop. But when is it too much to the point where it becomes tacky? While lamé is becoming a trend right now, I am turning to patent leather. Its the newest oldest trend there is. I love that its shiny, but in no way tacky or overdone. I'm not ready to become the latest fashionable "outerspacer", as I call them. Some may be up for gold mettalic lamé leggings and the sort, but this is not for me. And how I do love those gorgeous pictures of starlets in their sequined mini dresses, however this look is again not right for me or my lifestyle. I am not going out to the hottest night club in LA more like out to dinner at the restruarant downtown. So to make sequins for me, instead of a whole dress I will opt for a beaded or sequined clutch. It's all about making what you love work for you. Now if you'll excuse me, I think I see a stray rhinestone on my floor...
