I know yesterday I said I'd be taking a break until my math final was over, but here I am. *Tisk*Tisk* I was intrigued by an interesting conversation that I had with one of my friend's yesterday, he couldn't grasp the concepts of fashion shows. Mainly, because the clothes on the runway are not real-life wearable, so what's the point? And I must admit, I've had questions myself as to why designers do such elaborote looks to the extent of looking like elaborate costumes.

Runway shows are exagerated ideas that inspired the real clothing line. The designers put these shows on, hoping you'll be inspired by the runway looks and think of it, while dressing yourself (hopefully with his/her's clothes). They are also a good form of plublicity and lots of fun. And as my friend blantly pointed out 'another reason to party'. There is always a party after the fashion show. Always

Ahh, there is more to discuss on this topic but I guess I will have to finish posting later today or tomorrow because my time limit is up and I must return to Calculus.

In the meantime, share your opinions on the matter...

i do agree with the fact that fanshion shows are kind of pointless for diplaying clothes
BUT
they are a 'show' and some people are entertained by the elaborate looks of clothing just as some people are entertained by broadway shows and movies

I have also asked myself this question.

Good answer, though.
