Light Bulb Went Off in my Head: My sister was working on her English project and she was having to paper mache an over sized shot glass. I know, her class is very academic. Seriously, what do they teach in school today? But anyways, she used a plastic trash can as her mold and the end result was very chic. Well, it was chic until she painted it but that's another story. So, I've decided I'm going to paper mache myself a trash can for my new room! I'm going to do several layers of regular news paper and the last layer will be torn out pages from Vogue. Can you tell I'm excited? Probably more excited then I should be. I'll post pictures of it when I'm done!

Update #1: I just paper mached for about an hour for my very first time ever. I never got the fun teachers who did all the art projects, and I must say I didn't miss a thing! My hands are all sticky and my back hurts from awkwardly bending over. But that's okay because it is all going to be worth it. I have to make it extra thick, so I'm going to do another round of newspaper tomorrow afternoon, and then the day after that I can do pretty magazine editorials.

Update #2: Still working on the newspaper layers, I should have it all done by the end of this weekend which I then will post pics! I feel so resourceful.
