WTF? Number I Forget.

Infrequent posting does not mean non-existent and as I promised I have not fully abandoned GCY. As I'm sure many of you have noticed, especially those located in Southern California such as myself, Spring is officially here and the weather already feels like Summer! Quite a nice change from the overcast skies which were beginning to make me rather depressed. Unfortunately, it seems the stores forgot about Spring/Summer as I could not find a single good pair of sandals or shorts this weekend. And believe me, it seemed I was shopping all weekend long.

I had spent a little more then a little bit of time writing a piece on Spring trends. Or more the lack there of, Spring trends don't change to often it seems. Florals for spring? Oh, how ingenious. Well, isn't life ironic? Today on Fashionista, I read that crop tops might be "in" again. WTF Worthy? I think so. I very much would like to look back at photos and fashion trends when I am 40 years old and not laugh. I've seen my parents wedding photos; it scared me. Those poofy sleeves will haunt me for the rest of my life. (Ok,so maybe I'm exaggerating a bit...) And I think I have done a good job of avoiding trends that will most certainly end up on "Glamor's 100 Fashion DON'TS List". I had a short stint with colored jeans, and actually it's a reoccurring affair but I wasn't wearing Skittles Color of the Rainbows colors like some fashion risk takers. But I'm 99% positive that crop tops would be on that list, actually it already was. So, why oh why would anyone want to wear one again? It's not that I think it will look horrendous because I can envision it looking absolutely stunning, but I doubt most girls will do it in a classy manor and modesty will be thrown out the window.

I think I can live with this trend as long as guys don't partake in it.

*Shutters in disgust* (Probably the most WTF?! Worthy) Oh my goodness, I just envisioned my dad wearing a crop top. Actually, I'm glad I did, I needed a good laugh. Adios, until next time; I am off to do sit-ups just in case I decide to like this trend next week.
