Bright colors are vibrant and fun and they also happen to be a big trend right now. But they also tend to look incredibly cheap, so how can you follow this trend and avoid the major problem that comes along with it? Well, first of all, buy inexpensive bright colored basics. Normally, basics are something to invest in because they are the clothe you will wear more frequently, but because they are in bright colors its best not to spend a lot of money on them; I have a feeling within a year you won't want to see another lime green shirt in your life. Too many bright colored things worn frequently will cause nausea.
All these tops can be found at Forever 21, and average out to be $10 a piece.
So you've got your basics covered, but still not enough of this fun going fix. When an item is going to be the focal point of an outfit, its best when it is of high quality. Too make your dollar stretch, shop the sales. That way you are still getting top quality but aren't having to pay top dollar.
The tank top is by Ella Moss marked down to $68 from $117. While it may seem still quite basic, its the little details that make a difference. Also when doing bright colors, you don't want too much going on at once so clean lines are the best way to go. These bright colored skinny jeans were originally $196 but are now on sale for $98. The yellow dress is totally adorable and also very affordable, only $118 marked down from $396. While all these items are still a tad pricey, the savings is unbeatable and the quality even better. All available at shopbop.com
And as a little bonus....
I've had my eye on this dress for a while, it is so chic. And the mark down is crazy, only $84. Thats a lot better then its origianl price tag of $288.
