Walking Advertisments

We see them everyday, walking billboards. That girl with Abercrombie plastered across ed her chest, or the Louis Vuitton and Gucci monogrammed bags you are carrying. LOGOS!!! Why do people wear such things?! If a company wants me to advertise for them, they better be paying me not the other way around! But really, why do people wear things of the sort? The answer is simply, its a "status" thing. Yes, its true, status items draw our attention, we want them, and the things we feel it gives us. Go ahead deny it, of course you aren't influenced by such things but I am brave enough to admit I am. But one thing I won't do is announce to the whole world that I have fallen victim to our over-advertised, over-materialistic world. I prefer to do it in an understated way, which in my opinion gives you more class anyways. Of course I know it doesn't, but I can wish to think so anyways. So instead of monogrammed, go for just leather or a different print or pattern. Instead of a shirt from Hollister that has "HOLLISTER CO." written on it, go for one of their cute tops that actually have a silhouette and is not just a t-shirt. Subtle changes like this, can automatically make you more stylish without really having to change your style, unless of course you want to.
